Description

Experience a burst of bold flavors with our Cajun Chicken with Creamy Cajun Sauce. This easy-to-make dish features tender chicken breasts seasoned with zesty Cajun spices and smothered in a rich, creamy sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or impressing guests, this recipe balances spicy heat with a velvety texture for a truly satisfying meal.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, until sauce thickens.
  6. Return chicken breasts to the skillet, coating with sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a milder flavor, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning and omit the cayenne pepper.

For dairy-free alternatives, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk and Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
