Ingredients
For the Brownie Base:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cheesecake:
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
For the Caramel Topping:
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie base by melting butter, mixing with sugar, adding eggs and vanilla, and stirring in cocoa, flour, and salt. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese with sugar, add eggs one at a time, mix in vanilla and sour cream. Pour over baked brownie base and bake for 45 minutes.
- Heat sugar in a saucepan, stir in butter, heavy cream, and salt to make the caramel sauce. Pour over cooled cheesecake.
