Description

Ingredients

250 g sponge cake

500 g ricotta

150 g powdered sugar

150 g candied fruit

80 g chocolate chips

1 tsp orange zest


Instructions

  1. Place the ricotta in a large bowl and beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the candied fruit, chocolate chips, and orange zest until evenly distributed.
  4. Line a cake mold or bowl with slices of sponge cake, pressing lightly to cover the base and sides completely.
  5. Spoon the ricotta mixture into the lined mold and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Cover the surface with additional sponge cake slices, pressing gently to seal.
  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the cake to firm up and flavors to meld.
  8. When ready to serve, carefully unmold onto a serving plate and decorate with extra candied fruit or a light dusting of powdered sugar.
