Description

A moist and fluffy poke cake infused with the nostalgic flavor of cereal milk, topped with creamy whipped topping and crunchy cereal. This fun dessert is perfect for parties, birthdays, or anytime you want to relive childhood memories in a deliciously unique way.

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)

2 cups whole milk

2 cups cereal of choice (e.g., Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Flakes, Cornflakes)

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 container (8 oz) whipped topping or homemade whipped cream

1 cup additional cereal for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the cake mix as directed. Bake in a 9×13-inch pan and cool slightly.
  2. While the cake bakes, steep cereal in milk for 20-30 minutes. Strain and discard the soggy cereal.
  3. Use a wooden spoon handle to poke holes across the cake’s surface.
  4. Mix the cereal milk with sweetened condensed milk and pour over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes. Chill for at least 2 hours.
  5. Spread whipped topping over the cake and garnish with additional cereal before serving.

Notes

Add cereal topping just before serving to keep it crunchy.

Customize with your favorite cereal flavors or toppings like fresh fruit or chocolate shavings.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
