Description
A cozy fusion of creamy white chocolate and warm chai spices, this Chai White Hot Chocolate is a luxurious twist on classic hot chocolate—perfect for chilly afternoons or quiet evenings.
Ingredients
1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1/2 cup water
1 chai tea bag
1/4 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream (optional)
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and water. Heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and steep the chai tea bag in the hot mixture for 4–5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
- Remove the tea bag and return the pan to low heat. Add the white chocolate and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour into a mug and, if desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
Notes
Use oat milk or almond milk for a dairy-free version.
For a stronger chai flavor, steep two tea bags instead of one.
Add a shot of espresso for a dirty chai version.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat gently on the stovetop.
Use high-quality white chocolate for best results.
