Description

Ingredients

450 g smoked sausage (beef, turkey, or halal variety)

4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered

2 tbsp olive oil

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp black pepper

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your cheese blend)

½ cup sour cream (optional, for serving)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
  2. Wash and cut the baby potatoes into halves or quarters for even roasting.
  3. Slice the sausage into 0.5 cm rounds.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  5. Toss potatoes in olive oil and half of the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
  6. Line or grease a baking sheet, then spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer.
  7. Scatter sausage slices over the potatoes.
  8. Roast for 35–40 minutes, stirring once or twice, until potatoes are golden and tender.
  9. Remove tray, sprinkle cheese over the top, and return to oven for 5 minutes until melted.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately, with sour cream if desired.

Notes

Use spicy sausage or pepper jack cheese to add heat.

Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat in oven to maintain crisp texture; avoid freezing.
