Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm water

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 packet active dry yeast

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. In a separate bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, spinach, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten into a circle.
  8. Place a generous amount of the cheese and spinach mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  9. Place the stuffed breads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
