Ingredients
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
12 oz pasta (penne or rotini recommended)
2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup frozen peas (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook pasta to al dente per package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chicken, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine pasta, Alfredo sauce, chicken mixture, and peas (if using). Stir well.
- Transfer mixture to the baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
For extra creaminess, mix in 1/4 cup cream cheese.
Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
To add a spicy kick, include red pepper flakes.
