Description
These chicken crescent rolls are warm, cheesy, and comforting, made with tender shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, and green onions wrapped in flaky crescent dough. Perfect for weeknight dinners, potlucks, or snacks.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or boiled)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3–4 green onions, sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 (8-count) can crescent roll dough (8 triangles)
Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder or dried parsley for extra flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder or herbs. Mix until creamy and cohesive.
- Open the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Lay them flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the point, tucking in the sides to keep the filling inside. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Optional: Brush tops with melted butter or sprinkle extra cheese or dried herbs.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use leftover or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
Mix up the cheese for different flavors—mozzarella, pepper jack, etc.
Add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for variety.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
Can be frozen after baking and reheated directly from frozen.
