Ingredients

For the Crust:

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

For the Chocolate Filling:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 cups heavy cream

2 tablespoons cornstarch

¼ cup granulated sugar

4 large egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

For the Topping:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until combined. Press into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  2. Make the Chocolate Filling: Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until simmering. In a bowl, whisk together cornstarch, sugar, egg yolks, and salt. Slowly add hot cream while whisking. Return to the saucepan and cook until thickened (5-7 minutes). Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  3. Prepare the Whipped Topping: Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread over the chocolate filling.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder. Cut into bars and serve chilled.
