Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 medium bananas)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the batter in half. In one half, fold in the cocoa powder and chocolate chips.
- Spoon the plain banana batter and the chocolate batter alternately into the loaf pan, then use a knife to swirl the batters together for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
