Description

This Chocolate Pecan Pie recipe blends the rich, buttery sweetness of a classic pecan pie with the indulgent addition of melted chocolate. Perfect for holidays or special occasions, it’s an easy-to-make dessert that combines nutty pecans, smooth chocolate, and a flaky crust for a crowd-pleasing treat.


Ingredients

1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 large eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups pecan halves

1/2 cup semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a pie dish with pie crust, trimming and crimping edges.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Stir in pecan halves and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading pecans evenly.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly puffed. Cover crust edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
  6. Let the pie cool completely before slicing. Serve as is, or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a crispier crust, blind bake the pie crust for 10 minutes before adding the filling.

Store leftovers at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.

The pie can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
