Description

A crispy, golden-brown Churro Stuffed French Toast filled with a creamy, sweet center and coated in cinnamon sugar—just like a churro! This indulgent breakfast or brunch recipe is easy to make and perfect for a special treat.

Ingredients

For the French Toast:

8 slices thick-cut brioche bread

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Pinch of salt

Butter or oil for frying

For the Filling:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling – Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Assemble the Toast – Spread the cream cheese mixture on one slice of brioche, then top with another slice to create a sandwich. Repeat for all slices.
  3. Prepare the Custard – In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
  4. Heat the Pan – Melt butter or heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet or griddle.
  5. Dip and Cook – Dip each stuffed sandwich into the custard, coating both sides, then cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Make the Cinnamon Sugar Coating – In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Coat the French Toast – While still warm, roll or sprinkle the French toast with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Serve & Enjoy – Slice, drizzle with syrup, and enjoy!
