Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the coating. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Place the cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Gently press down on each cookie to slightly flatten.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
