Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly.
- For the coating, combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Dip each donut in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
Ensure the donuts are slightly cooled before dipping in butter and rolling in cinnamon sugar to prevent the coating from melting off.
Store leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
