Featuring tender ground beef, bowtie pasta, and a creamy tomato-based sauce, it’s a rich and satisfying meal the whole family will love. Quick, hearty, and loaded with flavor, this pasta dish is a must-try for fans of easy pasta recipes.

Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1/2 cup tomato sauce

3/4 cup beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  3. Stir in chopped onion and garlic; sauté for 2–3 minutes until onion softens.

  4. Add Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  5. Stir in diced tomatoes (with juices), tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.

  6. Simmer for 10 minutes to thicken and develop flavor.

  7. Add heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 more minutes.

  8. Stir in cooked pasta and toss to coat.

  9. Add mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until melted and creamy.

  10. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Swap ground beef for ground turkey, sausage, or mushrooms for a lighter or vegetarian option.

Add greens like spinach or kale at the end for extra nutrients.

Use different pasta shapes such as penne or rotini.

Leftovers reheat well with a splash of broth or cream.

Avoid freezing as the creamy sauce may separate.
