Description
A cozy and comforting creamy vanilla cinnamon milk tea made with black tea, warm spices, and your choice of milk. It’s simple to make, customizable, and perfect for relaxing mornings or winding down in the evening.
Ingredients
2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf black tea)
1 cup water
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (or 1 cinnamon stick)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1–2 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
Optional: pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Steep the tea bags or loose-leaf tea in the boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
- While tea is steeping, warm the milk in another saucepan over medium-low heat and add the cinnamon.
- Once the milk is warm (not boiling), remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sweetener.
- Remove the tea bags or infuser from the brewed tea and combine it with the spiced milk.
- Whisk gently or froth the mixture for a creamy texture.
- Optionally add a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor.
- Serve warm with a dusting of cinnamon or vanilla bean specks on top, if desired.
Notes
Use a milk frother for a café-style finish.
Adjust the sweetness to your preference or omit it entirely.
Try oat, almond, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom for extra spice.
Let the tea cool and pour over ice for an iced version.
