Creamy and comforting, Crock Pot Angel Chicken is an easy slow cooker meal made with tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich sauce of golden mushroom soup, cream cheese, and white wine. Perfect served over angel hair pasta for a satisfying family dinner.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 packet (0.7 oz) dry Italian dressing mix
1 can (10.5 oz) golden mushroom soup
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 oz angel hair pasta
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, golden mushroom soup, chicken broth, and white wine until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the crock pot, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- About 15 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- Once the chicken is done, shred or leave whole, then stir the sauce to combine.
- Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked angel hair pasta, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
You can substitute white wine with additional chicken broth if preferred.
Boneless chicken thighs can be used for a richer flavor.
Add sliced mushrooms or spinach during the last hour for extra veggies.
Top with shredded mozzarella or parmesan for a cheesy finish.
Serve over zucchini noodles or mashed cauliflower for a low-carb option.
