Ingredients
Bread:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Filling:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Pour half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the bread. For icing, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread.
- Slice and enjoy!
