Ingredients

Bread:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Filling:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Icing:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Pour half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bread. For icing, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread.
