Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, use very ripe bananas.

Customize with mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts for added texture.

Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
