2/3 cup whole milk (or plant-based milk)
1/2 cup melted butter (or neutral oil)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or grease.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet ingredients with the dry mixture, stirring gently to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
- Divide batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer muffins to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Avoid overmixing for tender muffins.
Mini chocolate chips can be used for better distribution.
