Description

Indulge in these sweet and gooey Easy Turtle Bars, featuring a buttery shortbread crust topped with luscious caramel, crunchy pecans, and rich chocolate. Perfect for potlucks, gatherings, or a quick snack, these bars are easy to make and absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 cup caramel sauce

1 cup pecan halves

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, flour, and sugar. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. Cool the crust for 5 minutes, then spread the caramel sauce evenly over it.
  5. Sprinkle pecan halves and chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until caramel is bubbling.
  7. Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For clean edges, chill the bars for 10-15 minutes before cutting.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
