Description

Ingredients

3 ripe avocados, halved and pitted

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small tomato, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (optional)

Juice of 1 lime

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency—chunky or smooth.
  3. Add chopped onion, diced tomato, minced garlic, jalapeño (if using), lime juice, and cilantro.

Notes

To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the guacamole’s surface when storing.
