Description
A hearty and comforting pasta dish made with tender spaghetti tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce, savory ground beef, and topped with parmesan and parsley. Ready in 30 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinner guests.
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb ground beef
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Additional grated Parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir into the garlic butter mixture.
- Add cooked spaghetti, reserved pasta water, and grated Parmesan. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated in sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, topped with extra Parmesan and additional parsley if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
To make it creamier, add a splash of heavy cream or a spoonful of cream cheese with the pasta water.
Swap ground beef with turkey or sausage for variation.
To store, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat with a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce.
