Ingredients
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Bring steaks to room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for desired doneness). Remove and let rest.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Toss shrimp with paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper, and cook 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce skillet heat to medium, melt butter, and cook garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
- Return steaks and shrimp to the skillet. Spoon garlic butter sauce over them and warm for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve steaks with shrimp on the side or atop, drizzled with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for precise steak doneness: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
Swap ribeye for other cuts like filet mignon or sirloin if desired.
Add white wine or chicken broth to enhance the sauce.
