Description

Enjoy a decadent surf-and-turf experience with this Garlic Butter Ribeye Steak and Shrimp recipe. Juicy ribeye and tender shrimp are perfectly seared and drizzled with a rich garlic butter sauce for a restaurant-quality meal at home.

Ingredients

For the Steak:

2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:

1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

1/4 cup unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Bring steaks to room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for desired doneness). Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Toss shrimp with paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper, and cook 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce skillet heat to medium, melt butter, and cook garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
  5. Return steaks and shrimp to the skillet. Spoon garlic butter sauce over them and warm for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve steaks with shrimp on the side or atop, drizzled with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for precise steak doneness: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.

Swap ribeye for other cuts like filet mignon or sirloin if desired.

Add white wine or chicken broth to enhance the sauce.
