Ingredients

8 oz linguine or spaghetti

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

1 lemon, juiced

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp to skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in white wine or broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in lemon juice and simmer until slightly reduced.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss in sauce until coated.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Adjust spice level with more or less red pepper flakes.

Ensure shrimp are not overcooked to maintain tenderness.
