Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups breadcrumbs (panko for extra crispiness)
Olive oil or cooking spray (if baking)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly greased with olive oil or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to make a smooth batter.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating well, then roll in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Arrange florets on the baking sheet in a single layer without touching.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- For frying: heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Prepare batter and coat florets with breadcrumbs.
- Fry florets in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with ranch, blue cheese dressing, hot sauce, or preferred dip.
Notes
Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
Can bake or fry depending on preference.
