Description
This Greek Yogurt Berry Parfait is a quick, refreshing, and healthy treat made with creamy yogurt, fresh berries, and crunchy granola. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert, it’s easily customizable and visually appealing.
Ingredients
2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to sweeten yogurt)
1½–2 cups mixed fresh berries (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1 cup granola (your favorite kind – homemade or store-bought)
Optional: Chia seeds or flaxseeds
Optional: Toasted nuts (almonds, walnuts)
Optional: Lemon zest or mint leaves
Optional: A splash of vanilla extract (if using plain yogurt)
Instructions
- In a bowl, stir honey or maple syrup into the Greek yogurt if using plain yogurt. Optionally, add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
- Wash and slice the berries. Pat them dry to prevent watery layers.
- In serving glasses or jars, layer a spoonful of yogurt, followed by berries and a sprinkle of granola.
- Repeat the layers one or two more times depending on the size of your container.
- Top with extra berries, a drizzle of honey, and garnish with mint leaves or lemon zest if desired.
- Serve immediately for a crunchy texture or chill for 30 minutes for a softer parfait.
Notes
Add granola just before eating to keep it crunchy.
Use frozen berries only if thawed and drained to avoid excess moisture.
Make it vegan by using plant-based yogurt and maple syrup or agave as a sweetener.
For meal prep, store layered yogurt and berries in jars, and add granola when ready to eat.
Customize with protein powder, nut butter, or chocolate chips for a twist.
