Description

Grinch Oreo Balls are a fun and festive treat perfect for the holiday season. These bite-sized delights are made by blending Oreo cookies with creamy cheese, then dipping in green chocolate for a Grinch-inspired twist. Topped with a red heart sprinkle, these Oreo truffles are the perfect gift or dessert for Christmas parties!

Ingredients

1 (14.3-ounce) package Oreo cookies

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

12 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts

Green food coloring

Red heart sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo Mixture: In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Add softened cream cheese and blend until smooth.
  2. Shape the Balls: Roll the Oreo mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Melt & Color the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Add green food coloring and stir until the chocolate turns vibrant green.
  4. Dip and Decorate: Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the green chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off. Place back on the parchment paper. While still wet, press a red heart sprinkle onto each ball.
  5. Set & Serve: Let the balls set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until firm. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Substitutions: Feel free to swap out white chocolate with dark chocolate or milk chocolate for a different flavor.

Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

Chilling Tip: Make sure to chill the Oreo balls thoroughly before dipping to ensure they hold their shape.
