Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups green beans, steamed or frozen
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crispy fried onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined.
- Add the green beans to the mixture, stirring to coat them in the sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Optional: Top with crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the onions are golden and crispy.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
