Description

Savor the tropical flavors of Hawaiian Grilled Teriyaki Chicken! Juicy chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory blend of soy sauce, brown sugar, and pineapple juice, then grilled to perfection. A crowd-pleaser for summer BBQs or quick family dinners. Perfect with rice, salads, or sandwiches.

Ingredients

1 ½ lbs chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

1 cup soy sauce

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

1 cup pineapple juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and pineapple juice until sugar dissolves.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over chicken, coating evenly.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high. Oil the grates lightly.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off. Reserve the marinade.
  6. Grill chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, ensuring internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Simmer reserved marinade in a saucepan for 5 minutes to make a glaze.
  8. Brush glaze on chicken during the final minutes of grilling.
  9. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinate overnight for the best flavor.

Add sesame seeds or chopped green onions as a garnish.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
