Description

These Healthy Date Brownie Bites are chewy, fudgy, and naturally sweetened with dates for a rich chocolate flavor in every bite. Perfect as a quick snack or wholesome dessert.

Ingredients

10 medium Medjool dates, pitted

1/3 cup milk

1/2 cup all natural peanut butter

1 large egg

5 tablespoons cacao powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a mini muffin tray.
  2. Add the dates and milk to a food processor and blend until mostly smooth and combined.
  3. Add peanut butter, cacao powder, baking soda, salt, egg, and vanilla extract. Blend until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Scoop the batter evenly into the mini muffin tray.
  5. Optional: sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top and gently press them in.
  6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  7. Let the brownie bites cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before removing.

Notes

Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.

Add chopped walnuts for extra texture.

Enhance chocolate flavor with a pinch of cinnamon or espresso powder.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Let thaw before reheating briefly in the microwave.
