Description
These Healthy Date Brownie Bites are chewy, fudgy, and naturally sweetened with dates for a rich chocolate flavor in every bite. Perfect as a quick snack or wholesome dessert.
Ingredients
10 medium Medjool dates, pitted
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup all natural peanut butter
1 large egg
5 tablespoons cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a mini muffin tray.
- Add the dates and milk to a food processor and blend until mostly smooth and combined.
- Add peanut butter, cacao powder, baking soda, salt, egg, and vanilla extract. Blend until a smooth batter forms.
- Scoop the batter evenly into the mini muffin tray.
- Optional: sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top and gently press them in.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Let the brownie bites cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before removing.
Notes
Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
Add chopped walnuts for extra texture.
Enhance chocolate flavor with a pinch of cinnamon or espresso powder.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Let thaw before reheating briefly in the microwave.
