Description

This Herbed Whipped Cottage Cheese Dip is a quick, creamy, and protein-packed appetizer made with fresh herbs, tangy lemon, and cottage cheese. Perfect for parties or healthy snacking, it pairs beautifully with veggies, crackers, or pita chips.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)

1/4 cup Greek yogurt (optional for extra creaminess)

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, dill, chives, or a mix), finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for flavor)

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Base: Add cottage cheese, Greek yogurt (if using), minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Season the Dip: Stir in fresh herbs, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Chill: Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Serve: Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra herbs before serving. Pair with fresh veggies, crackers, or pita chips.

Notes

For an extra cheesy flavor, add crumbled feta or Parmesan.

For a spicy kick, mix in cayenne pepper or chili flakes.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Stir before serving.
