Ingredients
1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season and Sear: Season steak cubes with salt and black pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Cook in batches if needed. Remove steak bites and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce: Lower heat to medium. Melt remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 1–2 minutes until thickened slightly.
- Combine and Finish: Return steak bites to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the glaze and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.
Notes
Use a tender cut like sirloin to keep the steak bites juicy.
Adjust red pepper flakes for spice preference or skip for a kid-friendly version.
Swap soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free dish.
