Description

These Honey Lemon Pepper Wings are a delicious combination of crispy, tender chicken wings coated in a sweet and tangy honey lemon pepper glaze. The perfect snack for game day, parties, or any casual gathering. Baked to golden perfection and served with a flavorful glaze, these wings are a crowd favorite that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats

1 tablespoon baking powder (for crispiness)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

For the Honey Lemon Pepper Glaze:

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Toss the wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through. The wings should be crispy and golden brown.
  5. While the wings bake, prepare the glaze by combining honey, melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until smooth.
  6. Once the wings are done, transfer them to a bowl and toss with the honey lemon pepper glaze until fully coated.
  7. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges and a sprinkle of black pepper.

Notes

Crispy Tip: Drying the wings thoroughly and using baking powder helps achieve that crispy texture without deep frying.

Variation: Add cayenne pepper or chili flakes for a spicy kick!

Air Fryer Method: Cook wings at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
