Description

Honey Pineapple Salmon is a deliciously sweet and savory dish featuring tender salmon fillets glazed with a flavorful honey and pineapple sauce. Perfect for a quick dinner bursting with tropical flavors.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

1/2 cup pineapple juice

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let the sauce cook for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  5. Brush each fillet generously with the honey-pineapple glaze, reserving a bit for serving.
  6. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  7. Once cooked, drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon fillets.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Grilled Version: Brush the glaze on while grilling and finish with the reserved sauce after cooking.

No Soy Sauce: Substitute tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free alternative.

Vegetarian Option: Substitute salmon with thick tofu steaks for a plant-based option.
