A simple and fun recipe to make colorful and refreshing Jello popsicles, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
1 package (3 oz) of your favorite Jello flavor
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
1 cup cold water
Popsicle molds or small paper cups
Popsicle sticks (if using paper cups)
Instructions
- Dissolve the Jello: Combine the Jello powder and boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Add Cold Water: Add cold water to the dissolved Jello mixture and stir well.
- Optional – Add Sugar: If desired, add sugar to taste and stir until fully dissolved.
- Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the Jello mixture into popsicle molds or small paper cups.
- Insert Sticks: If using paper cups, freeze the popsicles for 1-2 hours until partially set, then insert the popsicle sticks into the center of each cup.
- Freeze: Place the molds or cups in the freezer and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
- Unmold and Enjoy: Run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds to loosen the popsicles. Gently pull them out and enjoy!
Notes
This recipe makes about 6 popsicles.
For layered popsicles, freeze one layer before adding the next flavor.
Fresh fruit like berries or kiwi can be added to the Jello mixture for extra texture and flavor.
For a lower-calorie version, opt for sugar-free Jello.
Leftover popsicles can be stored in the freezer for up to 1-2 weeks.
