2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package.
- In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the point to form little crescent rolls.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions, about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a different flavor, swap lemon for other fruits like orange, lime, or raspberry.
To store, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
If you want to make them ahead of time, you can freeze unbaked rolls and bake them from frozen when ready.
These rolls pair well with a drizzle of glaze made from powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk.
