Description

These Lemon Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls are a sweet and tangy treat, combining flaky crescent dough with a rich cream cheese filling, accented with fresh lemon zest and juice. They’re quick to make and perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point to form little crescent rolls.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions, about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a different flavor, swap lemon for other fruits like orange, lime, or raspberry.

To store, keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.

If you want to make them ahead of time, you can freeze unbaked rolls and bake them from frozen when ready.

These rolls pair well with a drizzle of glaze made from powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk.
