Ingredients

1 box lemon cake mix

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon lemon zest (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Add egg, vanilla extract, and lemon extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add lemon cake mix, mixing until fully incorporated.
