Description

Indulge in the creamy comfort of Crockpot Mac & Cheese, a hands-off recipe that’s perfect for family dinners or gatherings. With rich cheeses, simple ingredients, and minimal effort, this dish delivers irresistible flavor every time.

Ingredients

16 oz elbow macaroni (uncooked)

4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

2 cups whole milk

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup butter, cubed

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Crockpot: Grease the crockpot with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: Add macaroni, whole milk, evaporated milk, sour cream, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Add the Cheese: Mix in cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2–2.5 hours (or high for 1–1.5 hours), stirring every 30 minutes.
  5. Optional Topping: Top with breadcrumbs and broil for 2–3 minutes if desired.
  6. Serve: Dish out the mac & cheese hot and enjoy its creamy texture.

Notes

Stir regularly during cooking to prevent sticking.

Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded cheese.

Add milk when reheating to maintain the creamy texture.
