Ingredients
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar

0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
0.5 cup buttermilk
0.5 cup M&Ms, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add buttermilk to the wet mixture, stirring continuously.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the M&Ms gently.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Top with additional M&Ms before serving.
