Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Toppings:
Powdered sugar glaze (1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 2-3 tbsp milk)
Chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat Your Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Prepare the Dough: Cut each biscuit dough round into quarters. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll each biscuit piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.
- Assemble the Muffins: Place 3-4 coated biscuit pieces into each muffin cup. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Pour a spoonful of the butter mixture over the top of each muffin.
- Bake the Muffins: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly in the pan before removing.
- Serve and Enjoy: Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For an even more decadent treat, consider adding chocolate chips or chopped fruits to the biscuit dough before baking.
