Ingredients

Base:

2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup smooth peanut butter (or almond butter)

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Chocolate Topping:

1/2 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • Combine peanut butter, honey, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low, stirring until smooth.
    • Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and mix in rolled oats until fully coated.
  2. Press into a Pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
    • Pack the oat mixture firmly and evenly into the pan.
  3. Make the Chocolate Topping:
    • Melt chocolate chips, butter, and optional peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
    • Spread evenly over the oat base.
  4. Chill and Set:
    • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
