Description

Old Fashioned Cherry Fluff is a creamy, no-bake dessert salad made with cherry pie filling, crushed pineapple, sweetened condensed milk, whipped topping, marshmallows, and pecans. This light and fluffy treat is perfect for holidays, potlucks, and make-ahead gatherings.

Ingredients

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling

1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1 (8 ounce) tub whipped topping, thawed

2 3/4 cups mini marshmallows

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Place the cherry pie filling and drained crushed pineapple into a large mixing bowl and gently stir to combine.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Carefully fold in the whipped topping, keeping the mixture light and fluffy.
  4. Gently stir in the mini marshmallows and finely chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend and the dessert to set.
  6. Lightly stir before serving and garnish with additional pecans or cherries if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, chill for 4 hours or overnight.

Substitute strawberry or blueberry pie filling for a flavor variation.

Shredded coconut or chopped walnuts can replace pecans.

Use light whipped topping and reduced-fat sweetened condensed milk for a lighter version.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Do not freeze, as the texture may change once thawed.
