Description

A quick and easy one-pot meal with savory ground beef, garlic butter, and a creamy pasta sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon.
  2. Once the beef is cooked, remove any excess grease. Add the butter to the pot and melt it over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the pot and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Stir in the dried Italian seasoning and cook for another minute.
  5. Add the beef broth and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the pasta to the pot. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is creamy and thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra creaminess, you can add 1/4 cup more heavy cream or use half-and-half.

Feel free to substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or sausage.

If you don’t have penne or rigatoni, other pasta shapes like fusilli or farfalle will work great.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat on the stove with a splash of broth or cream.
