Ingredients
2 racks of pork ribs (about 3–4 lbs)
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1 cup barbecue sauce (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a knife and paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ground black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Rub this mixture all over the ribs.
- Place the ribs on a large baking sheet, cover them tightly with aluminum foil, and bake for 3-4 hours or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
- Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush the ribs with barbecue sauce on both sides.
- Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing into individual servings.
Notes
Adjust the cayenne pepper based on your spice preference.
For added flavor, marinate the ribs with the dry rub for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
