1 ½ sticks butter, softened

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

  2. Egg Mixture: Whisk eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl. Pour over the bread slices, ensuring they are evenly coated. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Preheat and Flip: The next day, preheat oven to 350°F. Flip each bread slice to soak evenly.
