Description
Refreshing homemade peach lemonade made with sweet ripe peaches, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cold water for the perfect fruity summer drink.
Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
4 cups cold water, divided
1 cup ice cubes
Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
Fresh peach slices, for garnish (optional)
Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water into a blender and blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the peach puree through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing gently to extract as much liquid as possible while leaving excess pulp behind.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher. Stir thoroughly until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until well chilled.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices, peach slices, or fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Adjust the sugar depending on the ripeness of the peaches and desired sweetness.
For a sparkling version, replace part of the cold water with chilled sparkling water before serving.
Add raspberries or strawberries for a mixed-fruit variation.
Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
Frozen peaches can be used; thaw slightly before blending.
