Description

This creamy peanut butter frosting is the perfect topping for cakes, cupcakes, and brownies. Quick, versatile, and customizable, this rich and nutty frosting will elevate your desserts and keep everyone coming back for more.

Ingredients

1 cup (250 g) creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar, sifted

12 tbsp heavy cream or milk (adjust for consistency)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream Butter and Peanut Butter:
In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add Powdered Sugar:
Gradually add powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Adjust Consistency:
Add heavy cream or milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until the frosting reaches a spreadable consistency.
  4. Add Vanilla:
Mix in vanilla extract and beat for 1–2 minutes until fully combined and fluffy.
  5. Use or Store:
Spread or pipe onto desserts immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

To make it vegan, use dairy-free butter and plant-based milk.

Add cocoa powder for a chocolate-peanut butter twist.

Sprinkle with sea salt for a sweet-savory combination.
