Description

Pecan Pie Cobbler is a rich and decadent dessert that combines the flavors of a classic pecan pie with the texture of a soft, buttery cobbler. This gooey dessert is perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 1/2 cups hot water

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract, then add the melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the top.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar with hot water, stirring until dissolved. Carefully pour this mixture over the batter without mixing.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired

Notes

Make-Ahead Tip: You can prepare the cobbler in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp top.

Freezing: The cobbler freezes well for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.

Serving Suggestions: Add vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to enhance the dessert’s richness. A drizzle of caramel sauce also makes a lovely topping.
